An Open Letter To Decent People - From Mitch McConnell




Dear decent people,
First let me explain a few things to you.
The Republican Party, whatever it stood for in the past, no longer stands for that.
Nor anything else for that matter.
We stand only for our own personal accumulation of power and wealth,
and that's it.
Stop trying to appeal to our ethics. We have none.
Stop trying to appeal to our humanity. We have none.

The Republican party is also known affectionately as the God & Oil Party (GOP).
It is a division of Halliburton and a subsidiary of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation.
Today's GOP is the largest misanthropic organization in the world.

We may cite Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt as proof we are not assholes when we want your vote,
but remember, Roosevelt left the party and took all the decent people with him.
As for Lincoln, he was no states rights champion,
and we'd drum him the hell out if he were alive today!
(that damned atheist bleeding heart progressive opposed slavery for Christs sake.)

So listen, every week, you whiny snowflakes complain that somewhere, something happened, and some people are getting riled up. So what if  a couple of congressional representatives visited an internment facility and found asylum seekers packed into cages like sardines and forced to drink out of toilets. So what if those same congressional representatives were the subjects of racist sexist hate speech in a Border Patrol Facebook group that also made jokes about killing asylum seekers.
You liberal whiners are going to come out decrying the hypocrisy of conservatives who pass anti-abortion laws to “save the children” while causing lifelong psychological harm to thousands of actual living, breathing kids. A veritable deluge of outrage about how the religious right have lost their right to the moral high ground, or how if Sasha Obama was doing what Ivanka is now, we Republicans would be calling for Obama’s impeachment.
We’re just going to get ahead of all that and let you know that we hear you.
We get it.
We just don’t care.

Seriously, guys, stop trying to appeal to our conscience.
We have none.
Any semblance of something resembling goodwill was snuffed out long ago.
We accused the families who lost loved ones in the Sandy Hook massacre of creating an elaborate hoax and then terrorized them for the past six years.
We lost our shit because a football player kneeled.
Honestly, there have been so many moments where a someone with an ounce of humanity would have a crisis of conscience, and you watch as we just keep consistently plowing straight on through to not giving a flying shit.

Were we not clear enough? Did you miss the time we re-elected a serial cheater who misappropriated over $200,000 in campaign cash to fund his affairs and fly his rabbit in coach not once, not twice, but six times? Or when we almost succeeded in electing a pedophile to the Senate? Or how we’re still trying to elect that pedophile? Every year brings a fresh new resignation or indictment, but come November we’ll elect another blond-haired, blue-eyed closet conservative running on the ol’  Manson Family values because we don’t care about who they harm as long as we get to rub our wanton lack of humanity in your dumb liberal face.

We’re totally cool with the whole concentration camp thing, but don't you dare call them that!
 We’re also perfectly fine with being fascists, so long as you don’t actually use the word.
For a bunch of Ivy League-educated smartypants, you guys are really bad at reading between the lines.

We’re the people that elected a man who advocated for violence against protestors, asked a foreign power to meddle in our elections, and was caught on tape uttering the words “Grab ‘em by the pussy” — and then stuck with him through every damned high crime and misdemeanor, denying everything you saw or heard with your own ears 
Because he’s hurting people, and we want him to hurt those people. That’s the point.

So next time you think of pulling out the Bible to prove it actually tells us to welcome immigrants as one of our own, please stop. We’re aware of our hypocrisy. We just don’t care.
Hell, I'd sell your first born to Putin if I could get away with it.
And one day...I WILL.

Why The Outer Limits was such a Great Television Show

Why were the OUTER LIMITS so wonderful? Let's just look at this one episode "The O.B.I.T." The ‘all-seeing eye’ has been a source of science fiction for many years. Consider George Orwell’s 1948 classic, 1984.
